About
My practice promotes global collaborative action to cultivate an ever-expansive community of care and challenge pre-existing structures of thought centred on society’s environmental awareness and associated action. By using aesthetics and a more accessible language my work aims to educate and inspire people to view all living things on Earth as one rather than us and them, enabling us to imagine a life that is mutually beneficial to both human and non-human lives.
My practice is a process-led exploration of our natural world and the, often, conflicting relationships we have with the flora and fauna of our planet. With an invaluable hands on approach to my practice, whether that be 2D, 3D or participatory, the works produced lead the viewer to question their actions and consider, appreciate and care for the planet, building an increased understanding of our interactions with nature.
Art, in its visual form, is the platform in which I am able to communicate with an audience on a much grander scale, facilitate an extended community of care and encourage a community to work towards a common goal, raise awareness and encourage conversation around environmental issues.
As art and literary responses to the Anthropocene have exponentially increased in recent times and as it continues to proliferate and gain momentum, I utilise my unique platform as an artist for suggesting societal change, to illuminate the need for action by addressing current societal and environmental concerns in powerful and experiential ways to achieve rhizomic potential.
With a profound respect for our natural world, my practice reflects a prospective consensus of cumulative action, leading us from the residue of neglect and the perpetual dominant mindset, pivotally leading us towards the unbounded possibility of a hopeful emergent future for human and non-human lives, bringing with it suggested possible and preferable futures.
