Water of the Alps, consisting of water collected from a lake at the top of Le Brévent in the Aiguilles Rouges range of the French Prealps, is a work created to compliment the body of mountain prints produced following an awarded French Alps visit in 2015.

 

This piece focusses on the planetary, working with the land and rewriting the human narrative of my alpine exploration, with a nod to the changing environment of the glacial landscape, whilst referencing people, time and place.

With a subconscious desire to celebrate the earth, my practice has always encapsulated an elemental theme, celebrating the environment through a collect and display approach.
